CUSTOM SYSTEMS / AI / AUTOMATION

Your business has a workflow nobody sells software for.

We find the expensive friction, build the system around it, and put working software in your hands—without the consulting theater.

Pick the problem that feels familiar. This is not a product catalog—it is a quick look at how we turn an operational drag into a system your business can use.

Voice + lead operations

Let the routine calls qualify themselves.

A voice agent answers, gathers the useful context, updates your pipeline, and only brings a human in when the conversation is worth having.

Watch your system take shape.

One reasoning core. Your channels feed in, your platforms connect out, your automations run underneath. Assemble it here and the spec travels with your message.

Channels How does it reach you? Every channel your team and clients already use. The dashboard is always on.
Platforms What does it plug into? The systems already running your business. Each one is real integration work.
Automations What should run without you? The recurring work. Destructive actions always stop at a human gate.
Users Who uses it? Drives permissions, roles, and admin surface.
Hosting Where does it live? Either way, Phase 0 hardening happens before production.

03 / What it costs

Real numbers,
before you have to ask.

"Contact us for pricing" wastes your time. Here are honest ranges from real scopes. The estimator lands within ±25% — the written quote comes after a discovery call.

01 What are you building?
02 How many systems does it connect to?
03 Where does it run?
ESTIMATED RANGE $6.5k – $14k

Typical timeline: 2–5 weeks from kickoff to production.

  • Phase 0 server hardening before anything goes live
  • Least-privilege credentials and human approval gates
  • Source code in your repository from day one
  • 30 days of post-launch support and iteration

Estimator accuracy ±25%. Final number is fixed and written, after a free call.

Where the money actually goes

The AI is the cheap part.

Integration work, edge cases, and safe deployment are what a real engagement is made of.

Discovery and technical design 10–15%

Mapping the workflow, agreeing scope, writing the spec you sign off on.

Core build 35–45%

The actual system — logic, agents, tools, interface, evaluation.

Integrations 15–25%

Every system you connect adds engineering time. Clean APIs are cheap; legacy is not.

Hardening and deployment 15–20%

Phase 0 server work, least-privilege access, approval gates, production rollout.

Post-launch support 5–10%

First 30 days of fixes and adjustments against real usage.

03 / Private AI assistants

An assistant that knows the operation—not just the conversation.

OpenClaw, Hermes, or a custom stack can become a private interface to the tools your business already uses. The useful part is not the chatbot. It is the permissions, context, and actions behind it.

04 / Who you are hiring

You are not hiring an agency. You are hiring me.

Over a decade in tech, including subcontract work for Boeing — where the cost of getting something wrong teaches you to design for the failure case first. I build custom software because I genuinely enjoy it, and I still write every line myself.

The person on your discovery call is the person writing your code. No sales team, no handoffs, no junior devs learning on your budget.

The spine

Whatever you configure, it ships on this.

Six things every engagement gets. None of them are upsells.

01 You own every line

Your repository from day one. Nothing walks off with a contractor.

02 Least privilege by default

Credentials scoped to the job. Blast radius bounded before anything runs.

03 Human gates on destructive work

Agents prepare high-impact actions. People approve them.

04 Provider-agnostic

Claude, OpenAI, or local models swapped by config — never hardcoded.

05 Extendable without me

Documented and conventional. Any competent developer can pick it up.

06 Phase 0 is not optional

A hardened server before production, with a written record of what changed.

05 / Built in-house

We ship products,
not just proposals.

Arctyk Vision is our own productized service. It exists partly because local businesses kept asking a version of the same question — and partly because the fastest way to prove how we build is to run something ourselves.

Arctyk Vision Google Maps and AI-search visibility for local service businesses.

Most local businesses rank fine near their own address and disappear a few miles out, where the calls are going to someone else. Arctyk Vision measures where you vanish, works out who is taking those calls, and turns the gap into work you can approve.

06 / Straight answers

Questions worth asking.

Including the ones where the honest answer costs me the project.

Do I actually need custom software, or is ChatGPT enough?

Often ChatGPT is enough, and I will tell you so. A chat window is great for drafting and thinking. It stops being enough when the work needs your live data, has to happen without someone prompting it, or must never take a destructive action unsupervised. That is the line where a custom build starts paying for itself.

How accurate is the estimator?

Within about 25% for a well-understood scope. The variables that move it are how clean your data is, how cooperative your existing systems are, and how many exceptions the workflow really has. The written quote after a discovery call is fixed.

What is not included in a quote?

Third-party usage costs — model APIs, telephony, hosting — which get set up under your own accounts so you keep direct billing control and can leave at any time. You get a forecast of those before work starts.

What happens if we stop working together?

You keep everything. The code is in your repository, the infrastructure is in your accounts, and the build is documented well enough for another developer to continue. There is no platform to be locked into.

How do you keep an AI agent from doing something catastrophic?

Least-privilege credentials, explicit approval gates on destructive operations, and a bounded set of tools per agent. Agents prepare work; people approve the consequential parts. This is architecture, not a setting.

Can we start small?

Preferred. The best first engagement is the smallest system that proves value against a real workflow. Everything after that builds on code you already own.

Do you sell anything off the shelf?

One thing. Arctyk Vision is our own productized service for local Google Maps and AI-search visibility — $1,000 a month per location, cancel anytime. If your problem is that customers a few miles away cannot find you, that is a cheaper and faster answer than a custom build, and you should start there instead. Everything else we do is scoped to your operation.
